SSD Endurance Leaderboard
Which SSDs their makers rate to take the most writes for their size. Every figure here starts from the TBW a maker prints on its own data sheet, divided by the drive’s capacity. It is a warranty rating, not a test result.
How to read it
TBW, terabytes written, is how much data a maker’s warranty covers. The warranty ends at that figure or at the end of its years, whichever comes first. A bigger drive gets a bigger TBW, so the board divides TBW by capacity in decimal terabytes. The result is also the number of times the rating lets you fill the whole drive: 600 TBW per TB means 600 full-drive writes. Right now BIWIN Black Opal NV7400, Kingston FURY Renegade, Lexar NM790 share the lead at 1000 TBW per TB.
Each drive is ranked on its 1 TB model, the size most of these makers sell, or on the smallest size its saved sheet lists when there is no 1 TB one. Many makers rate every size at the same TBW per TB; some do not, and the range column shows how far the sizes spread.

What it will not tell you
TBW is where a maker stops promising, not where a drive wears out. Makers rate client drives on the JEDEC client workload, so a heavier, more random load uses up the rating faster, and a drive can keep working well past it. A higher rating usually means a maker trusts its NAND and spare area more, or chose to warrant more, but it says nothing about speed, heat or how a drive behaves once its cache fills. For how wear really adds up on a home PC, see Do SSDs wear out in a couple of years?
The board covers drives still on sale whose maker data sheets are saved for this site, not every SSD sold. A drive whose rating appears only in reviews waits until its maker’s sheet is saved, and portable drives are left out because their makers print no TBW. A drive drops off once its maker stops selling it, or sells it under a new name, which gets its own row; each maker’s product page was last checked on November 4, 2026. Every figure rests on a saved copy of the maker’s sheet. Drives marked Best SSDs pick link to their card on Best SSDs.

- QLC Is Junk
QLC gives up endurance and sustained write speed to TLC, but on the everyday tests the first set of QLC drives I could identify sits inside the TLC range.
